A Cowboy Christmas

Not only did we celebrate Christmas with family this past weekend, but we also celebrated with our church family.  The theme was a "Cowboy Christmas".  I must say, when I walked into the room, I didn't expect everything to be so beautiful.  Everyone that decorated really out did themselves.  The pictures really don't do it justice.  There was tons of food, singing and fellowship.

Delicious food

Some of the decorations {the whole room was decorated like an old western town}

During one of the songs, snow came down {way cool}

One of the songs that was sung is one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time, "Mary Did You Know".  The cliche "He's the reason for season" is over used, but so true. Because of the perfect gift that was given to us, we can celebrate and worship in freedom.  So as you sit around with your family and celebrate this Christmas season, don't concentrate so much on the hustle and bustle, but remember what this holiday is all about...celebrate the life that gives us eternal life!

Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy
Is Lord of all creation?

Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy
Will one day rule the nations?

Did you know that your Baby Boy
Is Heaven's Perfect Lamb?

This sleeping Child you're holding
Is the Great I Am!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

What a busy few days!  Today was the last day of school...Yippee! Christmas is just 3 days away, but we have been celebrating all weekend.

This past weekend we headed to Searcy to celebrate with Shayne's family.  It was a great time spend with Nana, Poppa, aunts, uncles and cousins.  We arrived Friday night and began opening presents!  It was Keston's first present opening experience.  I must say that he has the hang of tearing open the paper!  WARNING... This post is full of tons of pictures!

After the excitement of opening presents, Asher had to find a book.

Free Time??

Here's hoping the second time's a charm.  A few years ago, I attempted to start a blog to journal our day to day happenings.  It was right before Asher was born and I felt like we would have tons to share with the blogging world.  Little did I know,  I WOULD!!  Well, after only one, maybe two posts and 1 follower (thanks Kurt!) I never blogged again!  Sad, I know!  So now two kids later, I have come to realize that Facebook status updates just don't do our zaney family justice.  And since a reality tv show isn't knocking on our door to follow our every step, I once again turn to blogging.  So follow us along on this CRAZY adventure we call "LIFE!"
